Writing CVs
What is a CV?
It is your sales brochure, portfolio and character reference rolled
into a single document. It has to be positive, eye-catching and
memorable. It needs to be short enough to keep the reader's attention
and long enough to give sufficient information - generally two
or three pages.
How
does it work?
By personal appointment, taking under two hours for a CV to be
produced while you wait. You will need to know dates of job changes
and details of your qualifications. You will receive a professionally
written CV, tailored to your chosen career path and your personality.
electronically or on paper, with an option of additional copies
or bonded paper.
By
email, your CV will be returned to you within an agreed timescale
(a few days). However, we will need to discuss your requirements
with you by telephone. A simple form will focus your mind to provide
relevant information. You will print the CV on your own paper.
By
fax, your CV will be typed and returned to you by post on bonded
paper (within a week). To obtain relevant information to be able
to tailor your CV to your requirements, a form will be returned
to you. This option is more expensive as the preparation time
is longer. A long telephone conversation to discuss changes will
also be necessary.
By
post, your CV will be returned to you on bonded paper, but will
take longer due to the speed of the postal system!
What
do you receive?
· 2 paper copies of your CV
· an electronic copy of your CV (optional)
· job hunting advice (where appropriate at additional cost)
· the opportunity to talk about yourself for 2 hours!
